Key events on the environment in the Gran Via exhibition centre
Ecocity & Industry will coincide with Carbon Expo
From the 27th to the 29th of May, the Gran Via exhibition centre will house three important events related to the environment: the Ecocity & Industry Show, the Carbon Expo trade fair and congress and the 3rd National Recovery Event. This responds to the growing concerns of society, institutions, public administrations and private companies for the development of measures which guarantee environmentally-friendly progress.
The 7th Ecocity & Industry, the Environmental Technology, Services and Innovation Show, aims to become established as one of the benchmark events in its field and the ideal framework in which to create synergies between all agents from the environmental sector. In this sense, Ecocity & Industry 2009 is reinforcing its scientific aspect with the practical and dynamic Eco-sessions, structured around four core topics: water, air, waste and energy.
Coinciding with Ecocity & Industry 2009, Barcelona will provide the setting for the sixth Carbon Expo, the world's most important fair and congress on carbon emissions. Organised by the World Bank, the IETA (International Emissions Trading Association), and the Koelnmesse (its usual venue), have chosen Fira de Barcelona to host this year's edition. Carbon Expo has a mixed format of trade fair and congress and will be presenting services and products for a well-functioning emissions trading and innovative technologies market.
The 3rd National Recovery Event, organised by the Gremi de Recuperació de Catalunya, will bring together the main agents from the material recovery sector (ferrous and non-ferrous materials, paper and cardboard, glass, batteries, etc.) in Spain and will analyse the situation of the sector from the environmental, technical and management standpoints.
